As a collective group, we discussed the importance of camera angle and composition within a photograph. Students discussed the different feelings associated with photographs based on their angle and cropping. Students were divided into groups of 4. Within each group students rotated between roles as actor, photographer, director, and recorder. Each group had their own camera and was responsible for taking a minimum of three photographs of each group member, each from a different angle and conveying a different mood or expression. The handouts below were used during the class discussion and as reference within the group work.
